While the kids are away, the teachers will play - and learn a thing or two.
The second annual EdTechTeam Wellington Summit is set to inspire audiences this week as it takes over Amesbury School for some well-timed holiday PD.
The event boasts two days of inspiring speakers, demonstrations and breakout sessions to bring teachers the latest innovations in technology and education.
Keynote presenters education evangelist Suan Yeo and Eduwells creator and author of A Learner’s Paradise, Richard Wells, will be bringing their expert insights to share with Wellington teachers.
The Google backed event will bring their wide range of education resources together in one place for teachers to get hands-on experience with.
Sessions like: Demystifying Docs, Google Classroom 101 and Supporting reading and writing with Google Chrome are just a few examples of what teachers will be getting out of the summit.
Beyond the tools Google has to offer, there are gamification workshops, website building tutorials and more.
It’s a chance to use the last week of the school-holiday to get fired up for term 2, and bring some new tech learning into the classroom.
The summit runs 27-28 April, registrations are still open.
Keep an eye out for Educators’ follow up to the event next week.
