Tech giant Apple has made available the Apple Teacher professional learning programme in New Zealand, free of charge to Kiwi educators.
The release comes following the successfully launch of the programme in the United States last year.
Apple Teacher is a free professional learning programme designed to support and recognise educators using Apple products for teaching and learning.
The programme offers free self-paced learning materials, tips, inspiration and news.
According to Apple, it’s a great way for leaders to offer free professional learning resources that help teachers make the most of Mac, iPad and built-in apps for students in the classroom.
The programme guides teachers through free, organised resources that are based on real classroom examples and a learning path that supports teachers in getting more out of their devices.
Teachers can go through the learning path on their own, using the Apple Teacher Starter Guides to explore products and learn how to use them for teaching and learning.
Quizzes and badges in the Apple Teacher Learning Center are designed to help teachers keep track of, and share their accomplishments, on their way to becoming recognised as an Apple Teacher.
The programme can also help teachers create innovative learning experiences for students.
After completing online quizzes, teachers receive an official Apple Teacher logo that they can share.
